All APR remaps use encryption, which serve several purposes. First, it keeps prying eyes out of our software and prevents lesser companies from copying the chip and degrading the product. Secondly, the encryption prevents the dealer from flash programming the ECU. Also, all APR software is undetectable to a dealers VAG diagnostic tool.
All APR software comes with lifetime free upgrades. There is also a lifetime warranty against defects in the software or soldering.
EMCS is used on Pre 2001 vehicles and is APR's revolutionary patent pending Enhanced Modular Chipping System. EMCS is an industry leading technology that brings many new features to the automotive enthusiast. This technology was developed exclusively by Audi Performance & Racing, LLC and demonstrates APR's continued commitment to lead the industry with the most technologically advanced products available.
DirectPort Programming is used on Post 2001 vehicles and allows all of the same functionality of EMCS, but without ANY hardware. This system allows programs to uploaded to the engine ECU via the factory OBDII port.
Demonstration Software on Post 2001 1.8T + 3.2 V6 engines means software-only trials are now available. EMCS software can be loaded onto your car and demonstrated for a 6 hours of driving time after which it switches back to a standard map.
APR's EMCS is a truly modular system that allows for future enhancements and features to be added as they are developed without the need for additional hardware. EMCS makes the following advanced features possible:
Want chipped mode? Want to be able to switch back to your standard settings? Want a race mode to run 100 octane fuel at the track? How about a valet mode that limits power? EMCS is the lone technology on the market that can give you all of these options. These programs are available at the touch of a button.
APR has taken your cruise control buttons and utilized them for this function. Your cruise control will continue to function as normal, but will give you the ability to scroll through the programs. The procedure is simple and involves only two steps.
Step 1: Press and hold the "set" button on your cruise control. After approximately five seconds, the "check engine" light on your dash will begin to blink once per second. This will tell you that you are activating program one. This blinking sequence will continue for approximately five seconds.
After this five second interval, the "check engine" light will begin blinking twice per second. This will indicate that you have activated the second program. This process is continued to access any remaining programs you may have purchased. (three blinks = program three, four blinks = program four).
Step 2:Release the 'Set' button. Turn the ignition off for 10 seconds and then back on. You are now in your selected program.
It's that simple.
- FlipSwitch
Flip between two or more programs using the cruise control stalk.
- Fault Code Erase/Throttle Body Alignment (FCE/TBA)
Fault Code Erase allows you to erase and reset engine related trouble codes without having to use a specialty tool. Throttle Body Alignment allows you to manually perform throttle-body adaptation. This is a great function if you have had a running problem - if you have rectified the problem and want all factory base settings returning - this is the easiest way.
- Security Lockout
Prevents unauthorized personnel from accessing EMCS functions. The user may select any 1 to 4 digit security code. The security code is entered using the cruise control buttons.
- Anti-Theft

- V-Tune
V-Tune is for the advanced users and allows adjustments to the boost, timing, etc. of the ECU Upgrade to optimize the programming for certian variables such as gasoline octane, different modifications, and atmospheric conditions. For more information about V-Tune,

- Cruise Control
To access any of the offered functions other than the single program, you will need cruise control, on your car. As we do not get cruise as standard in the UK, we have developed the aftermarket fitting of cruise control using factory parts. We have the ability to fit the cruise to most VAG related cars built from 2000->. Even if you do not have the remap functions, cruise control can still be fitted.
